SPEECHES TO COUNCIL
Over time, Pittwater Unleashed has spoken at Council meetings on behalf of our community — advocating for shared access to certain parts of certain beaches at certain times.

Follow Pittwater Unleashed on Facebook and Instagram and join the conversation respectfully. -
Share positive experiences
If you capture moments of responsible beach use, tag us or send them through. We enjoy highlighting everyday examples of shared spaces working well. -
Be a responsible beach user
Follow posted rules and timeframes, keep dogs under effective control, clean up after them, and be courteous to others. -
Attend community and information sessions
Join ranger information sessions or local meet-ups to learn more about how shared access arrangements operate. -

For formal updates on beach access arrangements, plans of management or trials, Northern Beaches Council remains the official source of information.

14 OCT 2025 - OFF-LEASH DOG TRIAL STARTS
5.30am - 10am and 5pm - 9pm

It’s on! Bring your best beach manners and help make this shared-use trial a success. Remember: Scoop the poop, share the sand, and stick to the boundaries and times.
EARLY 2026 - POM & OFF-LEASH DOG TRIAL NORTH PALM BEACH
Northern Beaches Council Chambers
The Governor Phillip Park Plan of Management, which includes the proposed North Palm Beach off-leash dog trial, is expected to be reported to Council in 2026 following the required review and public exhibition processes.
Opportunities for community feedback will be provided as part of Council’s formal exhibition and consultation processes. Details will be published by Northern Beaches Council when available.
5 ApriL 2026 - OFF-LEASH DOG TRIAL winter hours
6am - 10am and 4pm - 7pm
Mona Vale Beach (South)
When daylight saving time ends and the clocks roll back, the off-leash hours will shift to the winter schedule. Keep enjoying the beach with your best manners — scoop the poop, share the sand and stay within the zone and times.
